Roadtripping: Quick getaway to northeast Peloponnese

The next instalment of our travel stories is sunny and unexpectedly pleasant! On the 1st of May, and since the day dictates it, it was time for a road trip. We packed our lunch, ironed our checkered tablecloth, put our ‘on the road’ playlist on and hit the road! Road tripping with your best friends can be a great experience, even if the place you are headed is not as good as expected eventually. But imagine reaching your destination and voilà!- it is better than anticipated. Nothing beats that!

The city has undergone a quite brutal transformation (to put it lightly!) that has been taking place since 2009 until today. Despite taking the plunge or -to put it differently- despite getting a slap in the face, it is gradually regaining consciousness and constructing a character visible in its streets, its shops and venues, and its mentality.

Having spent most of our carefree years in this changeable place as students, we wanted to kick things off here in this blog with what we think is the next big thing, the next place to be, following the steps of Berlin and Lisbon, Athens! Continue reading “Another one for your bucket list: Athens”
